The end of Wool Week 2015

It is coming to the end of Shetland Wool Week and what a week it has been!

We had a super time with our workshopping visitors - three workshops starting with basic skills and ending with double cloth. It was great to see the progress of eager weavers during the three days and some beautiful colours and patterns emerged as the days went on. Thank you everyone for coming up to Yell to spend time with us and thanks to Kirsty for running the workshops. 

Actually, more visitors have been to the studio during Wool Week this year than in the previous two combined. Bus tours, mini-buses and hire cars have been around most of the week, spending time with us and The Shetland Gallery before going on to Unst. It is fantastic to see how successful Wool Week is becoming and what a boost it is to us all in the industry. 

So, that is it for another year. Thanks Wool Week Committee and staff; it has been great. Roll on WW2016...
