Women are under-represented in art history but a  series on BBC iPlayer aims to set the record straight.

Professor Amanda Vickery's series, which started a few weeks ago, takes a look at the role, works and identity of the women who went against the established art world to create a world of their own. It is a fascinating insight with beautiful paintings, sculpture, music, paper-cutting and textiles.
