Judith Weir

The composer, Judith Weir, has been appointed Master of the Queen's Music.

Judith Weir is Scottish but grew up in London and lived and worked in both England and Scotland. She succeeds Sir Peter Maxwell Davies in this honorary position. If you do not know Judith's music, have a listen to "The Welcome Arrival of Rain" for a flavour.
