Weavers we know - Sarah Beadsmoore

Sarah 'phoned up and booked to come to Shetland to stay on our Buy Some Time programme in February 2011. She duly arrived in the snow and ice, and spent a lovely ten days chatting, cooking together and getting excited by textiles and travel and ideas.

Sarah works in New Brewery Arts in Cirencester and we met at Stroud International Textiles when I was down giving a talk last year. Her textiles life has taken her to Thailand, amongst other places, and I love the way she uses colour in her scarves, which seems to me to be influenced by Asia. Sarah has recently shown at Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh and continues to work on her product lines. A lovely, friendly and inspiring weaver and a great cook too! Thanks for visiting us, Sarah.
