Weavers Talk - 24th August

Our two weavers, Louise and Jeane, gave a superb presentation last night at ASF Shetland. Louise, weaver in residence this year, spoke about her college work, what she has done here and where her practice is going now, while Jeane spoke about her business in the States, her work at ASF and her plans for the future. We were joined by fourteen weavers, spinners and dyers, artists and makers, form all over Shetland and two visitors from the Falkland Islands. It was a very interesting and informative night, with many ideas and discussions about textiles from around the world. Thanks to everyone who came along, to Jeane and Louise for their talks, and to Maggie Bowler who helped host the event at ASF Shetland.
