Visitors to the Centre - Lesley Porter

We are pleased to welcome Lesley Porter to the Centre. Lesley is a BA graduate and will be working on the looms here at the Centre, looking at textiles construction and community projects.

One of her recent placements has been ?volunteering at Kedleston Hall, Derby, working with Textile Artist, Susie MacMurray, on an installation piece which involves working also with the National Trust's volunteers to create the piece. It is an interesting mix of old and young people coming together to work together coherently to produce a work of art where everyone learns."

We are keen to involve Lesley and our other visitors with what is happening in Shetland, and would welcome visitors to see us and her work. Please contact us to let us know if you would like to meet up.
