A very Viking Christmas

The origins of our winter festivals have included the influence of Vikings!

Shetland's very own winter festivals, Up Helly Aa which happen all over the islands, has a strong Viking look to it but, according to this report from the BBC News, the Vikings have been responsible for more than just that. Dressing up, giving toys and gifts, eating and drinking... very festive!
