In this report from the BBC, the story reveals that the craft has been affected by war, government decisions on trade, and changing fashion. The cloth is beautiful though and crafts like this deserve to survive and thrive. Perhaps it is due a revival like the advertising painters in New York who are once again adding an original touch to the skyline?
