The value of craft

Craft is valuable and a show at Sotheby's proves it!

Time-consuming to make and thoughtful in its execution, high value textiles are on show in Stitched Up, an exhibition of pieces from some of the world's best known textile designers and makers. I can't see it in person but, thanks to the internet we can all look at the show here and find out more about it here.

My favourite is the knitted birds by Rosemarie Trockel and the lettered pieces by Alighiero Boetti. Fantastic!
