Unbound

Another new exhibition has begun, this time in London's Two Temple Place. This one is about Visionary Women Collecting Textiles.

This show should be timely and important in presenting women as collectors rather than "simply" makers, and offers a look at works, designs, and materials from the 18th Century until today. It looks thought-provoking, presenting work that the collectors saw through a social and cultural lens.

Exhibitions like this are not common; this one asks why that is, and why textiles still have to battle for acceptance amongst the Fine Arts. Here is hoping Unbound, on until the 19th April will be ground-breaking and wonder-filled.
