Shetland tweed book

The second printing of the Shetland Tweed book has arrived.

This is the first book the studio has produced and shows some of the cloths made in the islands over the last century. Linked with some information about reading and understanding weave patterns it is a useful book for anyone who wants to see the kinds of cloth Shetland produced in the heyday of weave - 1950's and 60's, as well as what is being made now. There is also a story about sleuthing - putting the various elements of a cloth and its history together by finding records and samples in one of the collections in the islands.

If you fancy getting a copy please email.  The books are £15.50 softcover and there are a few hardcover from the last run at £22.50.
