Who wore the trousers back then?

3000 year old trousers - image courtesy M. Wagner/German Archaeological InstituteA fascinating article in one of the weave forums, WeaveTech, has been going on, all about the discovery of some trousers from Central Asia apparently worn by horsemen 3000 years ago. 

The pants are decorated with patterns and symbols and are made from wool. The pieces that made the final garments, legs and crotch, were shaped on the loom and were designed, so experts think, to be loose enough for freedom of movement and comfort.
