Touring Shetland

The summer season has started and, with it, the textile tours we run.

Every year we run tours across Shetland, looking at the history, heritage and scenery of the islands. Each tour is different and this week I have been running one for knitters from the USA.

Shetland is always inspiring. We have been to some beautiful places over the past few days and visited some interesting and unusual studios across the islands. We have had a workshop with Shona Skinner from The Shetland Gallery (thanks, Shona!) and had some fabulous meals and chats.

Here are some pictures including the one above of the stacks off Breiwick in Eshaness. The fog had rolled in and was just disappearing when it caused this effect. Rather like a painting, don't you think?

The tours this year are all full and we are nearly ready to announce the dates for next year, including our trip to Fair Isle.
