Threads of Life

Thanks to a tip from a reader of the blog we have a new book for the library.

Threads of Life is a history told by Clare Hunter through sewing. Tracing lives, ideas and stories through the craft it promises to be an enthralling read. This book was a Radio 4 Book of the Week and a Sunday Times Bestseller. Debra, our contributor from Australia (Hi, Debra), tells me that there is a fabulous tale in the pages. I shall let you all know...

The library is open to the public to browse, read and research. We offer tea and coffee, a place to sit and read, and a quiet study area. If you are interested in using the books please contact us to make an appointment.
