The Death of Klinghoffer

John Adam's opera is on in London at the English National Opera, and, if you have never seen it, go! I am very lucky to be going down to see it on the 3rd March, and there are tickets available for the show.

The opera is about the "killing of a Jewish-American tourist during the hijacking of a Mediterranean cruise liner by Palestinian militants", and is a powerful, intimate and thought-provoking piece of theatre. The piece was shown a few years ago on TV and left a lasting impression on me and many others. The opera is considered one of Adam's best works.
