Woolly Thinking - weavers talk

On Thursday this week, Kirsty and Amy, the weavers who are with us for the summer, gave their presentations at the Textile Museum in Lerwick.

Bot of our weavers spoke about their work before and during their time in the studio in Yell, and showed their work to an appreciative audience. We talked and discussed and generally got very excited about weaving and patterns, colours and identity. If you would like to know what I am talking about, there is a video of the entire proceedings which we will put up on the 'Net in a few days.

Thank you to the Textile Museum (Cushla and Brita in particular) and to Amy and Kirsty who did a great job. With young weavers like this, the future is definitely bright!
