Woolly Thinking – Weavers Talk.

 

 

Join Kirsty Jean Leadbetter, weaver in residence,

and Amy Gair, student maker,

on Thursday 15th August

in the Shetland Textile Museum, Bod of Gremista

at 7pm

for an informal chat and question and answer session about their work

and experiences at the weave studio in Yell.

 

No need to book but places are limited.

Refreshments will be provided. Suggested donation: £3.

Kirsty Jean Leadbetter is our weaver in residence this summer on a 16 week program. A graduate designer from Chelsea College of Art and Design, Kirsty Jean is currently weaving upholstery fabric, which considers the flora and geological forms of Unst and Yell for colour and pattern inspiration.

 

Amy Gair is currently at Heriot-Watt University having graduated from Shetland College in 2012.
