Music on a Sunday

This weekend I invited some friends to the local hall in Sellafirth for some music and tea.Here is what we performed.

Gute Nacht by Schubert

Les Berceaux by Faure

The Foggy Foggy Dew followed by The Plough Boy, both by Britten

Amore e morte and Me voglio fa na casa both by Donizetti.

It was a lovely afternoon with wild flowers on the tables and sandwiches and cakes made by the hall committee. People helped make programmes and took photos and generally we had a very civilised afternoon. Thank you to everyone who helped out and to Peter for accompanying me in this, my first recital in years. The gift of song is indeed a joy!
