The colour of sound
You may know that we love music. And you will probably know, if you read this blog regularly, that we love yarns and textiles. Here is a project just up our street!
As a singer I love the patterns and colours of music, and frequently relate those to textiles.
Toki installation - synthRhythm and texture too. So when this project, synth, by toki popped into the inbox courtesy of designboom.com (thanks guys!), I was just in seventh heaven. The collaboration of artist and architecture duo toluwalase rufai and khai grubbs has resulted in a beautiful, vibrant and exciting installation in Washington D.C. The idea is to capture music in three dimensions using yarns and we think it is F.A.B. Doncha just lurve those colours and tones? You can see more of the work over on designboom.com.
