The Shima Seiki name is known to anyone in the knitwear industry for its innovative machines which make all in one garments and gloves, but now the company is working with the automotive industry.
Shima Seiki is planning to work with partners to replace the heavier parts of cars with textiles coated with, for example, resin for strength. This will lighten the part in question and lead to better efficiency!
