Saving the internet

Our daily lives would simply not be the same without the internet. But who will remember the webpages of today in ten years time?

The Internet Archive aims to save a copy of each page of the Worldwide Web for posterity but more importantly it also aims to save a copy of each page of each book and every television programme broadcast, making those copies available digitally for anyone anywhere to access. Isn't that an amazing aim? You can even go back and find out past histories of websites, using the Wayback Machine. How fantastic to see our very first website which started life as this.
