Sammy the puffin

A few years ago I wrote a book for my nieces, Sarah and Hannah. Now the book has been published.

Sammy is a short book for young children about a puffin who lives at Sumburgh Head in Shetland, and who discovers a Very Special Talent which helps everyone in the community on the cliffs. The book has been released by the Amenity Trust and is on sale at the lighthouse in Sumburgh, and next week on the 22nd July I shall be down there at two o'clock to read from it and to sign copies.

Sumburgh is an amazing place to see puffins and other seabirds and to visit the lighthouse buildings with their history. There is now a cafe with a panoramic view of back towards Noss and across to Fair Isle, and plenty of room to park. A great day out for anyone...
