Fit for a car

Ron Arad, the artist and designer, has created a suit with a difference.

In London's Savile Row, the home of British tailoring, there is always plenty to see in the windows of various tailors. The whole of the West End is decorated for Christmas with lights (pictures to follow next week) and a stroll down the streets seems especially lovely this year, given all that has gone on. The Huntsman window demanded a second and even a third look though because it features a suit... for a Morgan car!

Ron Arad worked with the company to handstitch two of his designed, woven cloths into a bespoke cover for the car and the completed piece was then fitted to another artwork: Ron Arad's recreation of the classic car using different parts of old vehicles. Now it can be seen in the tailor's window, looking rather smart for the festive season. How much fun!
