Robot flowers

We all like flowers. But have you ever seen robotic ones?

Studio drift from Amsterdam has installed 18 flowers which open and shut when visitors to the installation come near. Inside each flower is a light, and the colours and brightness change as the buds open up to reveal beautiful, upside-down blooms. How lovely!

You can see the piece in a video and read more about the project over on designboom.com.
