Five years that defined an era
The five years from 1966 until 1970 were a time of great changes which are still being felt today.
The Victoria and Albert Museum has an exhibition about the period. You say you want a revolution looks at the impact that the time had on fashion, music, politics, design and architecture. It is powerful stuff, seeing the clothes and posters and hearing the music that really does define a time when the world was changing quickly. Some of the ideas that were so radical then have come to pass and it is fascinating to see all of these things in context and time.
The show is on until 26th February. (And while you are at it, the English Medieval embroidery is also on at the V and A).
