And the results are in...

The Annual Blog Survey results included a couple of suprises.

Last week readers were asked for opinions about the content of the blog; each year this happens to make sure the blog is still relevant. This time around the requests were for more textiles stories and more about Shetland, while the diversity of the blog was appreciated. The big surprise this year was how many people enjoyed getting the blog because of the escapism it provided and the inspiration readers found in the entires each week during the pandemic. It also acted as a sort-of multimedia alarm clock, reminding people to check up on the weekly Shetland news!

The blog is a way for us to share interesting and inspiring things and some of those come from contributors out there in internetland. If there is something that you think might be interesting to others, if you want to publicise something, or if you simply want to say hello please contact me at andy@globalyell.org. Not all the things we receive can make it into the weekly post-out, but they all provide a connection to other places and people, and they are all gratefully received.

Many thanks to all of you who responded to the survey. I am looking forward to sharing more with you in 2021.
