Requiem

Requiem is a new work by Victoria Kelly, performed in English and Maori. 

In this piece, written for tenor Simon O'Neill, and reworked with support from Dame Hinewehi Mohi into a Maori version sung by Anika Moa, the composer has used poetry by New Zealand composers to create a secular version of the Latin Mass. The whole work will be released in 2023 but you can hear the Maori track from it here and the English version on the video below. It is a beautiful and peaceful song on which to end the year.
