The red dress revisited

The Red Dress is a project from the UK that uses embroidery to tell people's stories. Here is one from Canada.

Karen Ridley is a friend from Canada and got in touch about the project, sending in a link to it. Métis artist Jaime Black uses red dresses to draw attention to the country's Aboriginal women who have disappeared or been murdered. Beautiful and poignant, this project places the dresses in public spaces to bring people together to speak, to see and to be seen.

Thank you, Karen. We need projects like this to remember and to change our world.
