The power of opera

Those of us who love music know that it can convey powerful messages, promote togetherness and even help people with disease and ailments. Here is a company in South Africa using opera for healing and reconciliation.

The company, Umculo, is based in Johannesburg and in Cape Town, and works with opera to bring young people from South Africa and Europe together to learn, celebrate and create operatic performances. What a brilliant idea!
