Our sewing group in Yell is always doing something interesting and recently they started doing patchwork. Patchwork and its social history is a fascinating subject. Maybe someday our Yell patchworks will be in collections too...

This piece below is in the Auckland Museum. I won't pretend to know anything more than I read in the (pictured) blurb but I love the colours and the patterns. The shapes remind me of weave patterns blown up so that they pixelate.
