A Crofting Life wall hanging

A panel from A Crofting Life hanging A panel from A Crofting Life hanging

In 2008/ 09, we created a wall hanging based on the yearly life on a croft in Shetland. The idea came from a piece in the Centre's collection, from Zimbabwe, depicting a Woman's Day, and our version included people and groups from all over Shetland.

It was a wonderful project, and huge thanks for everyone who took part. Elaine Thomason, especially whose idea this was. We would like to display both pieces in Zimbabwe at some point. In the meantime, come and visit them at Sellafirth!
