Origin labelling
The Crafts Council newsletter this week has a link to an interesting article on origin labelling.
As we all become more aware of the environmental costs of modern life, knowing where the articles we buy come from is increasingly important. This article talks about the need to have a simple form of labelling which tells people the information they need to know to make informed decisions. And we like the idea because we try to use as much locally produced wool as possible in our cloths and we do as much of the process as we can in Yell at the studio. So, roll on the day when we can have a label that says "Created in Shetland, using local materials". Wouldn't that be fab!
