Colour mixing - New book for the library
We have a new (old) book in the library which is very useful to anyone interested in putting colours together or working with colour. Called Colour Matching and Mixing, the book was produced in 1963 as a workbook by Alfred Hickethier, creator of the Hickethier Colour System , to teach colour theory and mixing. It came complete with small coloured dots that were glued into spots on the pages, and gradually built up into a colour reference library. Our copy was printed in 1970.
The library at the studio is open to the public. There is a range of books and magazines for research, reference and browsing, including Crafts Magazine, Selvedge, and The World of Interiors. If you would like to use the library, please contact us to arrange a time.
