Helping get Shetland an MRI scanner

Shetland has been fundraising to get an MRI scanner for use up here in the isles.

Every year 600 or so people have to travel to Aberdeen to get a scan and we would like to have one of the machines in Shetland. It would mean far less time spent travelling, alleviating stress and the possibility of delays, etc to which Shetland flights are subject. It would also mean that we could get results of tests quicker which would speed up patient diagnoses and treatments.

There are a few ways in which you can help us raise money but here is one which the knitters out there may like: Harriet's Hat. Yes,you really can knit a Fair Isle cap knowing that you are helping the appeal to raise £2 million for Shetland!
