Morley College Textile Foundation show

Going to an exhibition of textiles is always interesting... and often, useful!

The Morley College Foundation course in Textiles is showing at Borough Road Gallery. The show is one room and there are some interesting works including knit, print and knotting. Japanese techniques for wrapping gifts are an inspiration for one of the students and gardens for another. Landscape forms and nature feature, as do grotesque (and humorous) facial features. 

A short conversation with two of the students revealed more about their interests and the way in which they have worked for this show. It is interesting to see notebooks alongside the works, and to see the various stages of preparation and development.
