The Mogao Caves

A new exhibition opens this week in London's V&A Museum, showing artefacts from the Mogao Caves in China.

The exhibition, Masterpieces of Chinese Painting, will display some of the fabulous silk paintings and parchments that are now in collections across the world. (The Mogao Caves are now a Unesco site and you can see some of the art in the caves on YouTube.) The exhibition takes in pieces from 700 to 1900 AD, an incredible 1200 years of the creation of beautiful objects and pieces, and is on from the 26th October until the 19th January.
