A weave mirror

A clever piece of engineering which combines weaving with photography in an enchanting moving picture caught my interest this week.

Designed by Daniel Rozin, the sculpture uses laminated, motorised prints laid out as though they were a woven textile. The motors, (I presume using computing power although please correct me if I am wrong), present a moving "woven reflection" to the viewer and I love the reference to a painting's canvas and the sound the piece makes as it moves and changes.

You can see more of Daniel's work here.
