Being creative during lockdown
Over the past year-and-some that we have all been under various lockdowns and restrictions, creativity has been a useful way to cope.
This summer GlobalYell has embarked on a festival programme to bring out the creative in all of us because, as we all know, art and craft helps in lots of different ways to relieve stress and anxiety. Our Creative Wellbeing Festival is intended to encourage us all to take some time out from day-to-day life and try something new.
On this website there is a dedicated area for the Festival under development. Over the next few weeks we will be adding free events such as becoming a Creative Pen Pal with Sula, which you can sign up to either the closed group on Facebook or by sending an email to kate@globalyell.org. The events will include music and textile-related activities along with others such as creative writing or glass-making. In September we will bring together all the things that have gone on, presenting them online or, if we are able to, in-person from teh 13th to the 19th.
It is at times like this that creativity can really help. For a little while we can concentrate on making or doing something new. We hope you can join us!
