Lives in Oo with Kate Davies

People who knit will know Kate Davies and this week, Tom, Kate's partner, came up to the studio to speak with us and take some photos for his new project, Lives in Oo. 

"Oo" is a dialect word for "wool" and this project is taking a look at the people in Shetland who work in the industry, both small and large-scale. We are very happy to have been asked if Tom could visit to photograph us and more than a little overawed to be included. (We weren't the only ones. One of the textile tour clients positively had to be fanned back to life when she heard that Tom may possibly be around at the same time as the trip!) Shetland's amazing textiles heritage now includes GlobalYell! Isn't that F.A.B.! As soon as we have more details we will let you all know...
