The Liberian Olympic team
Telfar Clemens is a Liberian American designer who, along with business partner Babak Radboy, designed the outfits for the Liberian team.
Liberia is a small West African country that elected Africa's first female head of state and is the oldest republic on the continent. It has a long relationship with the USA, founded as it was by Americans looking for a home for resettling enslaved people in 1822. Telfar was born and lives in New York and has Liberian parents. The designer's label TELFAR was founded in 2005 as a genderless fashion brand and has been a favourite for celebrities, socialites and fashionistas.
