Lia Cook is an artist who is interested in the emotional connections cloth evokes.
By working with different mediums including digital media, photography and painting, Lia explores these responses through woven pieces. She works with neuroscientists to look at the neural connections made in the brain when people view or touch the textiles, and then uses that data to create new work. This page explains more about the artist's working methods and interests while this one shows examples of some of those neuroscience research projects. You can see videos of the artist's work here.
