Knitting... in a nutshell

The popularity of knitting continues to grow, and much of that interest has come from the 20th Century.

London's Fashion and Textile Museum blog has a potted history of knitting, using the collection of Cleo and Mark Butterfield to explore and explain. You can check out the blog here for a quick whizz through the virtual show.

If you like what you see, you can also find more on the couple's own website: C20 Vintage Fashion.  Cleo and Mark own a huge collection of pieces that is available to designers for inspiration, lent for film and television, and for museum shows. Many of the items seen in shops have their roots in this collection. It is an amazing resource, full of fun and delight, not to mention being Absolutely Fabulous!
