Jarracharra: dry season wind

Jarracharra is a wind that blows across Arnhem Land in Australia and it signals the beginning of the coming-together of people from Aboriginal clans.

In October last year an exhibition opened in Paris, featuring work made through the Bábbarra Women’s Centre. This Centre brings together women from across the region through community workshops and the pieces in the show have been made from screenprint designs developed through these events. Aren't they evocative and beautiful? You can read more about the show and work here.
