It is all about mathematics

Sometimes things are simply meant to be shared so it is with a great sense of pleasure that I thank my friend Brian for passing on a link to a lovely essay on the BBC about a community art project involving pianos in public spaces and socialising, part of the BBC's Piano Season. By the time you read this, the link will not work any longer but, for what it is worth, here is the URL. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01mssb9 .

The internet being what it is, I clicked on a link which took me elsewhere into the mystery that is cyberspace and I stumbled upon Marcus du Sautoy's essays on music and maths; one of my favourite topics. I love the way that maths influences music, and weaving and I have spent a pleasant few minutes reading and reminding myself of the order of the universe. Why don't take some time for yourself, click on links and explore a little bit. You may be very surprised and pleased by what you find! http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2011/jun/27/music-mathematics-fibonacci
