Ideas requested

Last week I mentioned that we were thinking to do our residencies differently and I would love to hear from you.

The studio is Yell is a wonderfully large, airy and bright space with plenty of room to do workshops, and facilities for weaving. But we also have a kitchen for dyeing in, a laundry, a cutting table, Photoshop and other image editing and desktop publishing software, and of course our reference libraries.

What I would like to do is to offer the space to interested people to have full use of the studio to do whatever they wish. There would be a weekly charge for this but before I work all of that out, I would like to gauge interest in the concept.

If you think that you, or someone you know, might like an opportunity to access the studio for a week or two please let me know. What would you do? What sort of things would you need in place? What kind of work would you produce? I am not looking for only textiles. Print-makers, designers, artists, makers, musicians, storytellers, etc would all be welcome. Send me an email with your thoughts.
