The denim paintings of Ian Berry

Thanks to an eagle-eyed reader who sent this link in, we have been looking how Ian Berry uses denim to create different textures and surfaces in his "paintings".

Ian hails from Huddersfield and has been using denim in his work which, so he says, looks at the way modern life is changing people, perceptions and place. A particular challenge for him has been how to make a shiny surface using matt fabrics and his work has been shown in London, Sweden and the USA. You can read more about the artist on the BBC news website here and you can also see his portrait of Ayrton Senna at the bottom of the article.

Thanks, Tricia, for the link.
