Handwriting brings us together
An interesting project has taken samples of handwriting from around the world and transformed them into a single unified font.
The project by BIC, the ballpoint pen people, apparently took hundreds of thousands of contributions from all over the globe and made a single alphabet out of them. The alphabet comes in variations - left or right handed, make or female, split into age groups or by job, and it will soon be available for download to use. What we love about the idea is the fact that it presents a whole lot of data about people in a simple and easy to understand kind of way, and it should definitely be in this volume, one of our favourite books about presenting data.
