GlobalYell is looking for expressions of interest from resilient and experienced weavers who would like to come up to live and work in the Shetland Islands for a period of time, managing our textiles studio on Yell.

This is an opportunity to experience a beautiful and evocative landscape and lifestyle while developing your professional practice, creating networks, contributing to a textile conference in Shetland in 2023/4 and creating and running educational programmes for all ages. The weaver will also work with the founder of the studio to develop, fund-raise and participate in textiles-related community projects. 

Basic living accommodation can be provided, and you will have use of the looms and other equipment in the studio.
