Greymouth

The West Coast is an area of New Zealand in the South Island. It is a place of wilderness and wonder, filled with amazing scenery, plants and birds, and an endless expanse of ocean that extends far beyond any horizon.

We arrived after the drive across from Christchurch that takes in beautiful mountains and breathtaking rivers. It was oddly familiar to arrive in a town that we have been planning to live in for more than a decade, and the contrast from London with its busy streets and noise was and is very welcome.

Over the next few weeks I shall be introducing you to this part of the world, and sharing some of the pictures that we have taken. It is very good to have found that there is an active art group here, and musicians around, plus we have friendly neighbours and friends not too far away.

Thank you for sharing our journey halfway across the world. Let the new adventure commence!
