Friends of the blog

We have people who contribute to this blog regularly. Interesting information, events and videos constantly come our way.

A few weeks ago a couple of visitors, (Hi Tam and Don) came in to see us. Tam spent a happy couple of hours weaving and chatting, while Don went out for a walk. It was super to see them and to find out all that they are doing and regular readers will remember that they sent me a book about women and textiles, about which I shall write more in a later blog.

Tam is a member of a Guild, Western Scotland Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers and it so happens that another friend is also a member. I received a thank you email with a recent newsletter from the Guild, and it was with great pleasure that I read articles and Tam and Bron, the latter contributing a piece about her Saori loom. It is a great piece and I enjoyed reading about Bron's journey of discovery and continuing joy in her new loom.

I guess that what I am saying in this blog entry is that we are very lucky to live in a day and age when the internet can bring us all closer together through sharing information, and that is one of the joys of writing this blog. Dear friends, please keep the news coming. It is always lovely to hear from you!
